Impact toughness of nodular cast iron

Focusing on the low-temperature impact toughness of nodular cast iron, the relationship and influence between production technology, metallographic structure and mechanical properties of nodular cast iron were studied. Through production experiments, effective measures to improve the low temperature impact toughness of nodular cast iron are found. Due to many factors affecting performance, the subject will start from the following aspects.

(1) The influence of chemical composition on the properties of nodular cast iron mainly studies the influence of silicon, copper and copper on the properties of nodular cast iron.

(2) The effects of melting, pouring, spheroidizing and inoculation on the properties of nodular cast iron.

(3) Effect of high and low temperature two-stage graphitization annealing heat treatment process on properties of nodular cast iron.

(4) Effect of low temperature on impact toughness of nodular cast iron.

By understanding and mastering the influencing factors and variation law of impact toughness of nodular cast iron at low temperature, the deficiency of low temperature impact toughness of nodular cast iron is supplemented. Through the production practice, the reasonable production process is formulated, so as to improve the production technology of nodular iron, find out the effective way to improve the low-temperature impact toughness of nodular iron, and realize the purpose of successfully developing nodular cast iron for wind power fittings.
