In order to reduce the casting defects of shrinkage cavity and porosity, pour a quincunx ingot sample of 10kg each. One sample is modified by adding a composite modifier, and the other maintains the original composition of high chromium cast iron. Cut 15 standard impact samples with the size of 10mmx10mmx55mm on each sample, and take two metallographic wear samples with the size of 10mmx25mmx55mm. The statistical information is shown in Table 1.

Impact specimen | 10mmX10mmX55mm | 15 | Yes |
Metallographic wear specimen | 10mmX25mmX55mm | 2 | Yes |

The batching and smelting of the samples used in the test were completed in ZHY casting. Pig iron, scrap steel, low carbon ferrochromium and high carbon ferrochromium are used as raw materials to smelt ordinary white cast iron. An alkaline medium frequency induction furnace with a power of 50KW and a capacity of 15kg is used for smelting. The prepared raw materials are put into the furnace, heated to 1400-1500 ° C along with the furnace, kept warm for a certain time after complete melting, covered with flux (perlite) for slagging. After slagging and standing, the solution is cast into a plum blossom shaped sand mold to form a sample, weighing 10kg, and the temperature of molten iron out of the furnace is 1550 ° c-1600 ° C.
The modification treatment is carried out after the slag is removed from the melt. The bell jar pressing method is used to add the modifier composed of ferrosilicon (0.2%), rare earth ferrosilicon (1.2%), calcium silicon (0.5%) and a small amount of low melting point metal particles (0.1%), and the cumulative amount is 2.0% of the total amount of molten iron. The iron composition of the modified high chromium cast iron is shown in Table 2. After the modified melt has stood for 60s, under the same casting conditions, The quincunx shaped sand mold is wound to form a sample, weighing 10kg.
