In view of the metallurgical quality requirements of high-quality steel castings, it is obviously incompatible to use the original smelting process for producing carbon steel and low alloy steel castings, so the smelting process must be optimized.

1. Relevant management of smelting raw materials
On the one hand, in the storage process of waste cast steel, especially in the storage of steel refined by the return method, it is necessary to analyze its ingredients and accurately measure the phosphorus content in the steel. Based on the actual processing technology of steel, strict product quality control is carried out for cast steel containing Cu, Sn, Pb, as and Sb components to ensure that high-quality molten steel is forged for production and manufacturing. On the other hand, during the production of steel castings, the alloy materials and auxiliary materials required for production should be dried and baked according to the actual production process requirements, so as to ensure the high-quality production of steel castings.
2. Application of electric arc furnace smelting process
In the preparation stage of the early melting of casting materials, the phosphorus material should be removed. In order to improve the speed of melting work, oxygen blowing technology can be appropriately applied to accelerate the dissolution rate of materials. At the end of the dissolution work, the removal of residues should be carried out in time, and the residues should be chemically analyzed to determine whether the phosphorus content meets the actual requirements of production and manufacturing. The use of oxidation interval method can determine important parameters in the production process of steel castings, such as initial oxidation temperature, decarburization rate, decarburization amount and residue removal conditions, in order to avoid the contamination of molten steel by oxidizing impurities that are difficult to remove. Choose a reasonable pre oxidation process in the reduction process, and then simplify the slag generation process, so as to facilitate the oxidation diffusion between slags and meet the process requirements. When a large amount of alloy materials are added, the process of blowing hydrogen in the furnace can homogenize the alloy materials and effectively control the component content of steel castings, so as to lay the foundation for the production of high-quality parts.
3. Use of LF furnace production process
Improve the smelting effect of LF furnace and keep the reduction effect within a good range, so as to realize the refinement of waste white slag from steel casting smelting. In addition, the refined residue has certain oxidizability and the ability to accurately capture residual impurities. Therefore, the residue can not only reduce the content of dissolved oxygen in molten steel, but also better remove oxidizing impurities. Through alloying and blowing treatment, the molten steel of blast furnace can highly restore the design of steel casting drawings, so as to complete the production of steel castings with low oxygen content.
4. Pouring work
The research shows that the pouring work in the production process of steel castings is an important factor affecting the production quality of steel castings. Therefore, before pouring, the pouring method used should be reasonably selected according to the shape and structural characteristics of steel castings, so as to ensure the high-quality production of steel castings.
