The table shows the effects of the same alloying and different inoculants on the mechanical properties of gray cast iron.
It can be seen from the table that the strength and tensile strength of gray cast iron treated with multi-element alloy are between 274-285 MPa, meeting the requirements of HT250. The Brinell hardness is basically the same. The difference between the thickest surface and the thinnest surface of gray iron castings inoculated with SRSI is 23 Hb, the difference between gray iron castings inoculated with basi is 17 Hb, and the difference between gray iron castings inoculated with 75sife is 8 Hb. It can be seen that the section sensitivity of gray iron castings inoculated with SRSI is poor. The matrix microhardness of gray cast iron treated with three inoculants is basically the same, but the microstructure of Gray Cast Iron Inoculated with basi is very uneven.
