Improve the wear resistance of bucket teeth and prolong the service life

(1) Composition optimization and material selection of wear-resistant materials high manganese steel can achieve high hardness due to work hardening, which is widely used in high impact wear conditions. Alloy high manganese steel often replaces ordinary high manganese steel. Under the condition of low impact wear, the properties of medium manganese steel are better than high manganese steel. The superior combination of hardness and toughness of ultra-high manganese steel shows its advantages when the bucket tooth parts are thick and applied under high impact wear conditions. Due to the action of various alloy elements, low alloy steel has good combination of hardness and toughness, and can be used in various impact wear conditions. White cast iron has high hardness but insufficient toughness, so it can only be used in small impact or no impact wear conditions. In order to obtain bucket teeth with good wear resistance, it is necessary to further optimize the material composition and realize the composition design of high hardness and toughness.

(2) Smelting and casting technology R & D excavator bucket teeth have complex working conditions. Excellent smelting and casting technology is a reliable guarantee for long-life bucket teeth. The R & D and implementation of smelting and refining processes to reduce slag inclusions and gas elements, the R & D and implementation of chilling casting processes such as chilling sand and iron mold sand coating, and the R & D and implementation of casting forging composite process are the development direction of bucket tooth manufacturing process in the near future.

(3) Improve the heat treatment process. Heat treatment mainly changes the as cast structure of bucket teeth to better adapt to the working conditions without changing the composition. Optimizing the heat treatment process parameters and developing and implementing the divisional heat treatment of bucket teeth can further improve the wear resistance of bucket teeth and prolong their service life.

(4) The design of bucket teeth composite structure and composite materials adopts bucket teeth or composite structure bucket teeth with reasonable design structure, easy disassembly and assembly, “good steel is used on the tooth tip”, and the development of wear-resistant composite materials combining strong and tough matrix and hard (such as ceramic hardened alloy steel matrix composite bucket teeth) can also further improve the wear resistance of bucket teeth and prolong their service life.
