Because SAF2507 contains high chromium, molybdenum and high nitrogen content, it has strong overall corrosion resistance to organic acids such as formic acid and acetic acid. It also has strong corrosion resistance to inorganic acids, especially those containing chloride.
In practical engineering application, SAF2507 has stronger corrosion resistance, better than 904L, and has high resistance to pitting corrosion, gap corrosion and uniform corrosion. It is mainly used in petrochemical industry, natural gas industry equipment, heat exchanger, underwater equipment, fire-fighting equipment, etc., especially for offshore oil and gas production equipment.
