Water toughening treatment of lost foam casting lining plate

As an excellent wear-resistant material, high manganese steel is often used in metallurgy, mining, cement and other industries, such as bauxite rod mill and ball mill liner, excavator bucket teeth and transport track shoes. It has good strength, hardness, impact resistance and wear resistance. However, in the process of use, the wear-resistant high manganese steel lining plate can produce work hardening and give play to high wear resistance only when the impact load is large, the contact stress is high and the abrasive is hard. In the initial stage of use or under the condition of low impact load and soft abrasive, its insufficient surface work hardening is easy to cause large wear, which limits the application of high manganese steel to a great extent. Therefore, the high manganese steel lining plate is generally used after water toughening treatment.

Water toughening treatment is to heat the high manganese steel to the temperature of austenite zone and keep it for a period of time, so that the carbides in the as cast structure are basically solid dissolved in austenite, and then quenched into water for rapid cooling, so as to obtain a single undercooled austenite structure. Xiong Yunxia found that zgmn13cr2 steel passed 1050 ℃ × 1H (water toughness) + 540 ℃ × The wear mass loss is 28.3mg, and the hardness (HB) and impact energy reach 374 and 84j respectively. By comparing the working properties of high manganese steel before and after water toughening treatment, Zheng Honghong and others found that the impact energy was increased from 41.7j to 114.8j, and the comprehensive mechanical properties were significantly improved. Quan Guohui et al. Carried out two different water toughening treatment schemes for zgmn18cr2 bushing, and compared and analyzed the microstructure and mechanical properties of the samples before and after water toughening treatment. The results show that 1120 ℃ is adopted × The rapid water cooling process after 15h insulation can reduce the hardness of steel, improve the toughness and carbide grade of steel, and improve the service life of bushing.

Therefore, water toughening treatment plays a key role in the production of high manganese steel wear-resistant lining plate. When the metallurgical quality of lining plate is certain, the service life of high manganese steel lining plate mainly depends on the water toughening treatment process. Taking the as cast ZGMn13 high manganese steel and zgmn17 ultra-high manganese steel liners as examples, this paper analyzes the microstructure and mechanical properties before and after water toughening treatment, so as to obtain the best water toughening treatment scheme of high manganese steel and ultra-high manganese steel, and provide a reference for the development of rod mill liners with high wear resistance and impact resistance.
