This set of equipment and process integrates the advantages of solid mold and vacuum casting. It is suitable for all kinds of large, medium and small lost foam castings of steel, iron, aluminum, copper and other brands with different materials and structures. It has a better effect on lost foam castings with complex structure.

  1. The structural shape is not limited by the lost foam casting process, which provides a wide range of freedom for product design and manufacturing. The production cycle is short and the production efficiency is high. There is no need to mix sand, lower core, mold lifting, box closing and parting. It is easy to cast more than one box and group casting, so as to realize the optimal design and avoid the casting defects and waste products caused by factors such as lower core, mold lifting and box closing.
  2. Lost foam casting has high dimensional accuracy, accurate shape and size, good internal and external quality. It has the characteristics of precision casting. It can partially replace investment casting, reduce machining allowance up to 60%, and the process yield can reach 95%.
  3. It has the advantages of less investment, fast start-up, less employment, low cost, compact equipment, small floor area, easy mastery of process technology and easy realization of mechanical automatic production.

Production principle

In this method, the foam mold is made according to the lost foam casting process, coated with special paint, dried, placed in a special sand box, filled with dry sand, compacted by three-dimensional vibration, cast in the vacuum state, the model vaporizes and disappears, the metal replacement model, copy the same lost foam casting as the foam mold, release the vacuum after condensation, take out the lost foam casting from the loose sand for the next cycle.

Technological process

  1. Making foam plastic gasification mould (manual and Mechanical);
  2. Foam plastic gasification, drying after mold combination;
  3. The surface of the foam plastic gasification mold is brushed and sprayed with fire-resistant coating and then dried again (it must be completely dry);
  4. Place the special sand box on the three-dimensional vibrating table;
  5. Fill in the bottom sand (dry sand), vibrate and scrape;
  6. Place the dried foam gasification mold on the bottom sand, divide it into sand filling according to the process requirements, automatically vibrate it for a certain time, and then scrape the box mouth;
  7. Cover the nozzle with plastic film and cover the nozzle with negative pressure box. After compaction, the liquid steel casting is carried out, the foam gasification mold disappears, and the liquid metal replaces its position;
  8. After the lost foam castings are condensed, release the vacuum and turn over the box to take out the lost foam castings for the next cycle.
