Shrinkage porosity and shrinkage cavity defects of wet molding clay sand steel castings

The shrinkage porosity and shrinkage cavity defects in the production of Wet Mold clay sand steel castings are mainly related to the unreasonable process design, improper riser position and size, and the failure to place cold iron and quenched chrome ore in key parts. Shrinkage porosity and shrinkage cavity defects are mostly hidden in the casting and are not easy to find. They often play the role of the source of microcracks in the process of product use, which is a major potential safety hazard.

In the process production, the process shall be continuously optimized, the simulation software shall be adopted to improve the process optimization efficiency, and the riser and cold iron subsidies shall be reasonably arranged to ensure sufficient feeding and reduce and avoid the occurrence of shrinkage porosity and shrinkage defects in key parts of parts.
