The three-dimensional model of the above stress frame is imported into the sand casting simulation software ProCAST through the surface division grid, and the simulation results are as follows.
1.Temperature field simulation results
The results show that the change process of temperature field simulated by ProCAST stress frame is basically consistent with that simulated by ANSYS.
2.Simulation calculation results of sand casting stress field
Because some ideal and necessary assumptions have been made for the stress frame simulation using ANSYS, such as the assumption that the mold is filled instantaneously and the interface is in perfect contact, which will inevitably lead to certain errors. The simulation results using ProCAST are closer to the actual situation, but the overall change trend of temperature field and stress field simulated by the two software is basically the same.
