Although there are many modeling methods for cylinder components, with the continuous improvement of cylinder modeling technology, high-pressure modeling method has been widely used in automobile engine cylinder casting. This molding process has many advantages. For example, its pressure can be controlled at 1MPa and the hardness of the cavity surface can exceed 80hb. In order to ensure the molding effect, the performance of molding sand should be further improved in the casting of automobile engine cylinder block. Generally, mixing and grinding will have an adverse impact on the performance of molding sand, which will directly affect the product quality, and even lead to the scrapping of products in serious cases. Based on this, in the specific application of this molding process, relevant enterprises and technicians must test the performance of molding sand to make the actual rate between 46% – 49% and make its crushing index reach 80%.
In this process, the sand bucket also needs to be reasonably improved to shorten the distance between mixing and molding as much as possible on the basis of good guarantee of molding sand performance. In this way, it is possible to ensure that there is no sand in the sand storage bucket after each automobile engine block casting molding, so that the newly prepared molding sand can be applied in the next automobile engine block casting molding process. In order to achieve good molding effect, the molding sand under the sand bucket needs to be tested every half an hour during the casting molding process of automobile engine cylinder block. If the molding sand is found to be unqualified, it needs to be returned through the belt and then mixed again.
