Difference between electric hard seal ball valve and electric soft seal ball valve

There are many kinds of ball valves. According to the different structure, connection method and valve body material, the corresponding working conditions are different. However, in all types of ball valves, the sealing forms are only divided into soft sealing and hard sealing. Due to the different sealing materials used, the performance characteristics of products are different, so the applicable working conditions are naturally different.

In terms of price

Electric soft seal ball valve compared with electric hard seal ball valve, the price will come cheaper, the cost is lower!

Material

Electric hard seal ball valve adopts metal seat, mostly stainless steel + hard alloy, with high processing accuracy and technical requirements, and wide application range, which can be used in normal temperature, low temperature, high temperature and high pressure conditions.

Electric soft seal ball valve, the valve seat is divided into fluoroplastics, rubber, resin and other several kinds, mostly used in normal pressure and normal temperature, normal pressure and low temperature conditions.

Structural mechanism

(1) The electric soft seal ball valve is easy to achieve good sealing effect, and corrosion-resistant, acid and alkali resistant; the disadvantage is not high temperature resistant, the sealing surface is easy to wear, and the mechanical property is relatively poor.

(it is used in normal temperature and pressure situations with high sealing requirements or corrosive media and no particles.)

(2) On the contrary, the electric hard seal ball valve has the advantages of high temperature resistance, wear resistance and good mechanical performance. The disadvantage is that the sealing performance of this kind of seal is poor.

(generally containing solid particles or with wear, and the temperature is higher than 250 ℃, it is recommended to select hard sealed ball valve.)

From the valve leakage level

Hard seal valve: generally V-Class, up to vi-class. Soft seal valve: generally VI class.

The biggest problem of soft seal valve is its poor wear resistance. After using for a period of time, if there is solid impurity in the liquid medium, it may wear the valve seat, increase the leakage and reduce the sealing performance.
