Effect of rare earth elements on Microstructure and properties of low carbon equivalent gray cast iron

By studying the changes of casting properties, metallographic structure and mechanical properties of low carbon equivalent grey cast iron under the action of rare earth, this paper discusses the action mechanism of rare earth elements on low carbon equivalent grey cast iron, and grasps the relationship between the amount of rare earth and the composition, structure and properties of low carbon equivalent grey cast iron, A new method that can optimize the microstructure and properties of low carbon equivalent gray cast iron is found, which provides a relevant theoretical basis for the application of rare earth in the production of low carbon equivalent gray cast iron, and lays an experimental foundation for the production process of low carbon equivalent gray cast iron inoculated with rare earth.
