Interface heat transfer coefficient model of squeeze casting with interface pressure reduced to zero

With the solidification process, the interface pressure gradually decreases to zero at some positions. When the interface pressure is reduced to zero, it can not affect the interface heat transfer of squeeze casting die. At this time, solidification shrinkage becomes the main factor affecting the interface heat transfer. Therefore, it is assumed that the relationship between the interfacial heat transfer coefficient and the interfacial temperature is as follows,

Based on the experimental data, the parameters of the above equation can be determined, as shown in Figure 1. Based on the above model, the interface heat transfer coefficient can be calculated. The calculated and experimental interfacial heat transfer coefficients are in good agreement as shown in Fig. 2.
