Connecting rod assembly is the most important part of turbocharger, and it needs to have high wear resistance, high working temperature, certain heat resistance and corrosion resistance. Sus316ti material is usually selected. Generally, the minimum thickness of connecting rod is 6 mm. With the characteristics of high precision requirements of dimension, form and position tolerance of installation working face, plate material with 6 mm thickness is used for stamping in foreign countries. However, the material cost is relatively expensive, the service life cycle of die is short, the utilization rate and production efficiency of raw materials are low, and the quality is unstable, It is not suitable for the demand of domestic and foreign markets. Therefore, this paper designs an automobile turbocharger wear-resistant transmission connecting rod assembly, and introduces the manufacturing method based on the assembly.
The designed work-piece is the wear-resistant transmission connecting rod of automobile turbocharging, which is a work-piece connecting the crank and piston. It transforms the pressure on the piston into crank power. In the process of movement, it needs to bear both tensile force and bending stress.
As shown in Figure, the wear-resistant transmission connecting rod of this design is divided into three parts, namely small end, rod body and big end.
Connecting rod small end: the small end is built-in bushing, which is connected with the piston, and the piston is built-in piston pin. When the turbocharger is working, in order to improve the wear resistance of the piston pin, an oil collecting hole is set on the top of the small end. When the turbocharger is working, the internal oil is thrown into the piston due to the circumferential force, and then collected into the oil collecting hole, so as to reduce the wear of the piston pin.
Connecting rod big end: it is divided into two parts, one part is connected with the rod body, the other part is the rod cover. The connecting rod big end adopts self-locking nut to fix the bearing cover, the tightening force is 50 ~ 100N, and the bearing bush is placed in the big end hole. Connecting rod body: designed to withstand the maximum stress, the body is “I” shaped.
This paper introduces a manufacturing method of automobile turbocharger wear-resistant transmission connecting rod assembly in detail. The connecting rod is a kind of workpiece with poor rigidity, which is processed by cutting, and the defects in the manufacturing process are corrected by separating the processes.
