Process modeling of nodular cast iron for hub support

Using ugnx12 0 software to model the pouring and feeding system of automobile hub support. UG NX12. 0 is a product engineering solution developed by Siemens PLM Software. As an interactive CAD / CAM (computer aided design and computer aided manufacturing) system, UG nx12 0 can easily realize the modeling of various complex shapes. It is one of the most powerful and widely used mechanical design software in the world. Therefore, the figure is the schematic diagram of the initial nodular cast iron process assembly of the hub support completed by the software.

The three-dimensional models of ductile iron process, gating system, feeding system and sand core are exported into STL format files and imported into magma software, and the upper and lower sand boxes are drawn in the pretreatment. According to the overlay principle followed in magma calculation, since the imported models are combined through geometric subtraction, the calculation should generally focus on the last import of nodular cast iron. The specific import order is: sandm → inlet → gating → feeder → core → cast.
