Advantages of using water slag iron to produce gray iron castings

Using water slag iron to produce gray iron castings is a method to produce gray iron castings by directly melting water slag iron particles into molten iron and pouring in the existing gray iron production technology. The innovation of this method lies in:

(1) The waste slag iron in the high-frequency steelmaking furnace is selected as the raw material of gray iron production. Compared with using scrap steel and scrap iron as the raw material of gray iron production, there are different methods in the raw material of gray iron production;

(2) Adding gray iron raw material into water slag iron can fully melt the refractory water slag iron particles condensed into blocks at high temperature into molten iron;

(1) The cost is low. Using water slag iron instead of gray iron raw materials to produce gray iron castings can convert waste into raw materials, with less investment and quick effect. It can effectively save energy and greatly reduce the production cost (water slag iron replaces gray iron raw materials (raw iron, scrap steel and return iron). The average price difference between water slag iron and gray iron raw materials is 1000 ~ 1500 yuan / ton, The charge that can replace the raw material of gray iron in each furnace is about 400 kg, the smelting time can be shortened by about 10 minutes, and the electric energy can be saved by 100 ~ 150 degrees. According to the calculation of 10 heats per day, 4000 ~ 4500 yuan can be saved per day and 120000 ~ 135000 yuan can be saved per month, which significantly reduces the cost of the enterprise);

(2) Compared with ironmaking with scrap iron and scrap steel, using water slag iron to melt and pour gray iron castings directly can greatly shorten the production cycle and improve the production efficiency;

(3) Using this method to produce gray iron lost foam casting with water slag iron, the yield of gray iron casting can reach more than 90%, which is greatly improved compared with other processes.
