According to the latest data, the process design CAD systems developed by the casting industry at home and abroad are mainly divided into general and special casting process CAD systems:

General casting CAD system: it is applied to the design of ordinary sand casting process. It is divided into cast steel, gray cast iron, nodular cast iron and non-ferrous alloy. The system functions mainly include gating system design, riser system design, sand core system design, determination of process parameters such as parting surface and draft angle, dimensioning, and output and transmission of process drawing.

Special casting CAD system: casting process design applied to some specific products and specific purposes, such as die casting CAD, gear CAD, valve body CAD, crankshaft CAD, cylinder block CAD, blade CAD, disa molding line casting process design CAD and large steel castings CAD.
