Casting technology of gray cast iron engine cylinder block

  1. The growth mechanism of tin crystal was discussed by means of lower microstructure observation and thermodynamic calculation. The effects of tin grown at different stages (crystallization and crystallization) on the microstructure, mechanical properties and machinability of gray cast iron were studied.
  2. The effects of different proportions of scrap + carburizer on the microstructure, smelting quality, mechanical properties, casting properties and processability of gray cast iron were studied, and the internal mechanism of improving the microstructure and properties of gray cast iron produced by all scrap was discussed.
  3. The common defects in several kinds of gray cast iron are analyzed, and then combined with the actual production, the countermeasures are put forward. The scrap rate of gray cast iron is significantly reduced, and the quality of gray cast iron is greatly improved.
