The clamping mechanism of Cylinder Block Casting lower core clamp is also diverse in production practice, but according to the different motion principle of its clamping (clamping) plate (or block), it can be roughly divided into two types: rotary clamping structure (as shown in Figure 1) and flat moving clamping structure. The advantages, disadvantages and suitability of this translational clamping structure are mainly shown as follows:
As shown in the figure, the power source of the translational clamping structure of the lower core clamp of cylinder blockcan be pneumatic (compressed air) or manual. For the lower core clamp of pneumatic cylinder block sand casting translational clamping structure, its working efficiency can still be equivalent to that of the lower core clamp of rotary clamping structure, and can also overcome the above shortcomings of rotary clamping structure. ZHY casting believes that the translational clamping structure of cylinder block sand casting should be the preferred clamping mode.
For the lower core clamp of manual cylinder block sand casting translational clamping structure, its disadvantages include a little low efficiency; Its pneumatic cylinder block sand casting translational clamping structure has the advantages of lower core clamp; And the latter has the advantages that the operation is not affected by compressed air and other conditions, the clamping force is appropriate, the clamping force is stable and the effect is good. It is suitable for the production conditions with low speed saving of multi variety assembly line with similar cylinder block structure.
The lower core clamp of manual translational clamping structure for cylinder block sand casting is the preferred way to cast cylinder block under non assembly line production conditions (i.e. site production conditions). The author found that there are still a small number of cylinder block foundries in China under non assembly line production conditions, and there are some cases of discomfort in selecting pneumatic lower core clamps.
