Interpretation of the 13th five year plan for the development of foundry industry

China’s foundry industry has been developing steadily since the 12th Five Year Plan, but its growth rate has slowed down significantly, and it has entered the “new normal” of development like all industries in the national economy.

How should China’s foundry industry develop from a new starting point?

Entrusted by the equipment department of the Ministry of industry and information technology of the people’s Republic of China, the 13th five year plan for the development of foundry industry (hereinafter referred to as the plan) was officially released to the public on March 23 by China Foundry Association, which is a programmatic document for the development of China’s foundry industry in the next five years. The plan outlines a strategic, forward-looking and guiding blueprint for the industry. On May 15, at the 12th annual meeting of China Foundry Association, Wen Ping, executive vice president and Secretary General of China Foundry Association, explained the 13th five year development plan of foundry industry to the participants.

Secretary General Wen Ping introduced that the plan objectively analyzed the current development situation of the foundry industry, deeply analyzed the gap between China’s foundry industry and foreign developed countries, summarized the new environment and historical opportunities faced by the development of China’s foundry industry under the new situation, and put forward six development strategies, four development goals and 13 aspects that need to be focused on in the 13th five year plan of China’s foundry industry It also puts forward relevant measures and policy suggestions.

At the end of the plan, some suggestions are put forward, such as actively striving for and making full use of the relevant national industrial policies, establishing the group standard system and working system to meet the needs of the market, reasonably setting up the professional system, opening up the way for the growth of talents in the industry, strengthening the industry management and giving full play to the role of social organizations, so as to ensure the sustainable and stable development of the whole industry under the guidance and support of the government.
