Optimization objective function of characteristic parameters of Sand Mold casting process Design

The process parameters related to the characteristics of sand casting process design are taken as the optimization object, and the carbon benefit is taken as the optimization goal, so as to improve the sustainability of the casting process to a certain extent. On the basis of ensuring the forming quality of castings, this paper focuses on the machining allowance of holes, the diameter and length of sand core, and the number of sand cores in the casting geometric structure, as well as the selection and optimization of pouring time, pouring temperature, gate section ratio, riser type and riser number in pouring characteristics, in order to improve the carbon efficiency of casting process. The optimization method of characteristic parameters of process planning can be expressed as follows:

Where “1” represents the total shrinkage porosity in the pouring simulation results, “2” represents the voids in the pouring simulation results, which can characterize the quality of the interior and surface of the casting; “represents pouring temperature;” represents pouring speed.
