After the design of product parts, the reasonable molding and core making methods shall be determined according to the product structure and the actual situation of the foundry. The following is a brief introduction of various modeling and core making methods that are widely used at present.
1.Hand molding (hand clay sand, hand resin sand)
Manual modeling is suitable for simple, small batch and multi variety castings. The hardness of sand mold is low, the surface roughness and size accuracy are poor, and the efficiency is low.
2.General machine modeling (z145, z148, z1410, etc.)
General machine modeling is suitable for castings with large batch and high product requirements. The hardness of sand mold is medium, the surface roughness and size accuracy are good, and the efficiency is high.
3.High pressure molding (flat head, molding head, multi contact)
High pressure molding is suitable for small batch and large size castings. The hardness of sand mold is high, the surface roughness, the size accuracy are good, and the efficiency is high.
4.Horizontal parting line modeling (static pressure line, kW line)
The horizontal parting line is suitable for large batch and complex castings. The hardness of sand mold is very high, the surface roughness, the size accuracy is very good, and the efficiency is very high.
5.Vertical parting assembly line modeling (DISA line)
The vertical parting line is suitable for large batch, medium and small size castings, especially for ductile iron castings. The hardness of sand mold is very high, the surface roughness, the size accuracy is very good, and the efficiency is very high.
