Forming method of composite squeeze casting for large castings, design and manufacture composite squeeze casting forming equipment and peripheral devices, and form large castings through experimental research. The research contents are as follows:
- The research status of squeeze casting technology and the technical level of squeeze casting equipment, melt conveying device and die at home and abroad are analyzed, and the research objectives and technical route of this paper are put forward.
- Aiming at the squeeze casting forming of large castings, the advantages and disadvantages of direct squeeze casting and indirect squeeze casting are analyzed, the composite squeeze casting method, forming principle and process flow are proposed, and the overall design of the composite squeeze casting forming system of large castings is completed.
- In view of the large amount of molten metal to be conveyed by large castings, which is difficult to accurately quantify, the molten metal conveying system of the composite squeeze casting forming system for large castings is developed, and the pneumatic driving device for molten liquid conveying, the infusion pipe with temperature maintaining function and the software and hardware of the temperature control system are developed.
- The floating rigid support mold is designed and manufactured for the composite squeeze casting forming system of large castings. The motion simulation analysis of the mold is carried out to shorten the design and manufacturing cycle of the mold.
- Put forward the necessity of simulation of production logistics system of composite squeeze casting for large castings, analyze the time sequence relationship of various devices in the production logistics system of composite squeeze casting, establish the simulation model of the production logistics system of composite squeeze casting, calculate the working efficiency of various equipment in the system and verify the coordination of the production logistics system of the system through simulation.
- Transform the hydraulic press and its indirect squeeze casting related equipment to make it suitable for composite squeeze casting. The developed metal melt conveying system and floating rigid support mold are used to form a composite squeeze casting system for large castings. The function of the composite squeeze casting forming system is verified through the composite squeeze casting forming test on large aluminum alloy wheel hubs.
