In the existing production, most of the gray iron lost foam castings are produced by purchasing the prepared gray iron raw materials, so the production cost is relatively high (3000 ~ 3500 yuan per ton of gray iron raw materials); Using water slag iron (the market price of water slag iron particles is 1700 ~ 1950 yuan per ton) to make iron and directly pour lost foam castings is to add a certain proportion of water slag iron particles to the molten iron after the standard gray iron material is melted into molten iron, so that the water slag iron particles can be completely melted into the molten iron, and then add purification metamorphic agent to the molten iron, A new production method for direct production of gray iron lost foam castings can effectively reduce the production cost (the price of raw materials can be reduced by 1000 ~ 1500 yuan per ton) and improve the yield.
Under normal circumstances, in the process of using water slag iron to produce iron lost foam castings, add an appropriate amount of water slag iron particles in the medium frequency furnace. After heating to the melting temperature, the water slag iron particles will not melt into molten iron, but will condense into blocks at the melting temperature. Continue to heat the medium frequency furnace, and the blocks will not dissolve with the increase of temperature; No matter how high the melting temperature is used, it can not be melted into molten iron, which leads to great difficulty in directly using water slag iron to produce iron lost foam castings. At present, there is no molding treatment method or scheme for this problem in the production technology.
In order to overcome the above problems existing in the iron making technology using water slag iron, this paper will introduce the patent “a method for directly producing iron castings using water slag iron” developed by the research group of tutor Lin Qiquan of Xiangtan University. This invention is to solve the problem of agglomeration in the melting process of water slag iron, The method adopted for the problem that molten iron cannot be melted to form molten iron is to add a certain amount of gray iron raw material to the molten iron. After the gray iron raw material is melted into molten iron, the molten iron can be completely melted in the molten iron, so as to achieve the purpose of direct ironmaking of molten iron to produce gray iron lost foam castings. Through the trial casting of producing gray iron by lost foam casting method, it is proved that this method can produce lost foam castings with satisfactory performance while greatly reducing production cost and improving production efficiency.
