1) Technical aspects of using water slag iron to produce gray iron castings: due to the limitations of actual factory production conditions, at present, the production of gray iron castings by water slag iron smelting is only applied to the production of gray iron castings with simple structure, and the application of gray iron castings with complex structure needs to be further studied.
2) Recovery and utilization of water slag iron: water slag iron was originally from the waste slag in the steelmaking process through magnetic separation. It can not only be used in ironmaking to produce gray iron castings, but also in theory, water slag iron can directly make iron to produce ductile iron lost foam castings. Whether it is feasible in the actual production process needs further experiment and research.
3) Application of lost foam casting simulation: because the actual measurement of material thermophysical parameters requires huge financial and human resources, and the thermophysical parameters used in this subject are mostly based on experience, the thermophysical model in this paper has limited ability to restore the actual physical scenario, resulting in a certain deviation between the simulation results and the actual production results, Further work is needed in the future.
4) Application of lost foam casting simulation in China: lost foam casting simulation technology has developed quite mature abroad, and it has been widely used by foreign enterprises and manufacturers in actual production. The application of lost foam casting simulation technology in China is still limited to the technical centers of colleges and universities, research institutes and some large state-owned enterprises, and there is still a certain distance from its full popularization in major enterprises and manufacturers. In order to promote the development of lost foam casting simulation technology in China, the application of lost foam casting simulation software in all aspects of lost foam casting technology needs to be further explored, practiced and successfully applied.
